Holy Dorgbetor is the next boxing prospect fans and pundits alike should watch out for.

 The slender, soft-spoken lad from Mepe in the Volta Region of Ghana has indeed been grinding on the low and is about to explode like a dynamite in the crowded global featherweight space. 

 Holy began boxing in 2014 on the family compound in Mepe under the guidance of his uncle Robinson Kutsokey, a former boxer who challenged Osumanu Adama for the Ghana National And West Africa Super Welterweight championship on February 8, 2002 at the Accra Sports Stadium. 

 Kutsokey soon noticed precocity in his nephew and invested time and effort into his development. 

 Holy relocated to Accra in 2016 and after some brilliant displays in the amateurs built quite a reputation for himself. 

 His hard work didn't go unnoticed and when former world champion Isaac Dogboe sought for a formidable sparring partner to get him ready for his rematch against Emanuel Navarette, Holy Dorgbetor was highly recommended. 

 " In those five months I spent in camp with Dogboe, I really perfected my craft and it birthed in me a drive to loftier aspirations," Holy recounted. 

Upon winning on his professional debut in June, 2019, much was expected of this sleek operator, who likes to work behind a stinging jab and dazzle his adversary with hard hooks and straight rights to get the job done. 

 It was not surprising when Dr. Adae Opoku Amoako signed Holy Dorgbetor to his ACE Power Boxing Promotions; a pact that gave Holy's career the much needed push. 

 After recording impressive knockout wins and earning the moniker " Jaw Breaker ", Dorgbetor dominated a vastly experienced Success Tetteh in October 2021 to clinch the National and UBO Intercontinental Featherweight titles. 

 With his record currently at 10-0-1, the 24 year old believes he's ready to take on the best in his division: " I'm ready for any featherweight in the world. I don’t talk much but once I get in the ring, I'm a devourer", he said with a wide grin.

  Looking forward to making an appearance on the world stage, a training camp was facilitated by his management team in Singapore last year to acquaint him with diverse training methods.

 Holy Dorgbetor is in camp at the moment preparing for an international title bout in Accra.
